Poundland Disney tote bag pillow

Image
My youngest son loves Winnie the Pooh and has been asking me to make him something on the sewing machine for ages, so I decided to do a pillow using the Disney tote bag from the pound shop ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š. It turned out much better than I had hoped and my son loves it. I added a yellow border because I only had a 17” cushion but i like the way it turned out.         ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿงต๐Ÿงต๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿงต๐Ÿงต๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿงต๐Ÿงต๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

What you will need 2x outer fabric 8” by 10” 2x lining fabric 8” by 10” Zip 9” Zip ends 1” by 1” (you won’t see theses) Zip pull 4” Step 1 Sewing the zip taps on. Lay your zip facing right side up and place your zip ends at each end of the zip.  Sew a straight line down both ends. You won’t see The zipper tabs it’s just to stop the bulk at the end. If you want to see you as it types then make your zip shorter Step 2 Place your outer fabric right side up and your zip right sides down on top. Then with your zipper foot you need to sew down the side of the zip. Then place your lining fabric right side up a your zip with your out of fabric attached to it right side down This the lining  And this goes on top of your lining. Sew along the same line you just done, you can make a zip sandwich and just sew it once but I like to see where I am sewing so both sides of the zip look the same. Repeat this step for the other side of the zip.  Step 3    Iron you work flat...
